Upcoming Events — Movie Night, March Testing & Evolvfit Updated Launch
Hello EKA Families,
I’m excited to share several upcoming events and updates as we close out February and step into March. There’s a lot to look forward to from fun community events to meaningful training milestones.
🎬 Martial Arts Movie Night
Friday, Feb 27th | 6:00 – 7:45 PM
Join us for an evening of martial arts cinema as I share some of my favorite films. This event is for our martial arts movie fans and is meant to be a fun, community-centered night.
Please note: the featured movie is rated PG-13. Students under 13 must receive parental permission to attend.
We’ll be serving food and drinks during the event.
Cost: $20 per individual
🧠 March Monthly Meditation: “Challenge = Growth”
As we welcome March, our studio theme will center around embracing challenge as a pathway to growth. This mindset will carry directly into our upcoming Color Belt Testing.
Students will spend the month preparing mentally and physically, as this test will present a greater physical challenge than previous ones — designed to help them rise to a new level.
🥋 Color Belt Testing
March 25th – 27th
Two to three weeks prior, students will receive an email if they have earned the opportunity to test. To qualify, students must:
• Demonstrate a solid grasp of techniques and forms
• Show consistent effort in class
• Display respect toward themselves, classmates, parents, and instructors
Testing is both a skill evaluation and a character milestone, reflecting growth in discipline and mindset.
💪 Evolvfit Class Launch — March 2nd
We’ll be opening Evolvfit in early March after finalizing the class structure to ensure the best experience.
Schedule beginning Monday, March 2nd:
• Noon class — Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM class — Tuesday through Thursday
Evolvfit is a bodyweight fitness program focused on:
• Mobility: flexibility combined with strength
• Improved ease of movement
• Coordination: balance, footwork, and body awareness
• Elevated heart rate and fat loss
• Overall physical and mental well-being
This class is designed to help participants move better, feel stronger, and build sustainable fitness habits.
